In the old days of my grandparents, ‘waste not want not’ was a phrase that was uttered a lot but why has that changed, food seems to have become a disposable commodity but so much energy goes into it’s production, packaging and delivery it really should not be just thrown away,  ALL of it is precious. When everyone is talking about recession, making cut backs, people starving in Africa, can we really justify throwing away so much food each day/week/month/year/lifetime? Food needs to be looked at in a different light...
